Rate Limiting
RaidenX Data Services (RDS) offers powerful APIs for accessing and analyzing data. To ensure fair usage and maintain system stability, RDS enforces rate limits.
Per User Account Rate Limit
RaidenX enforces rate limits at the user account level, determining the total number of requests allowed across all APIs within a specified time frame.
Our data APIs are structured to accommodate users with diverse needs, offering multiple access tiers, each with its own rate limits. This page provides an overview of the rate limits for each tier: Free, Premium, Business, and Enterprise.
View the details for each tier below.
Rate Limits Apply Per User AccountThe rate limit for RaidenX APIs is enforced at the account level, not per individual API.
This means that all requests made across different APIs under your RaidenX Data Services account contribute to the total rate limit.
Tier | API Endpoints Access | Rate Limit per Account (rps/rpm*) |
---|---|---|
Standard | Access to a limited set of 3 specific endpoints. Details | 1 rps |
Starter | Access to the full range of APIs. Details | 15 rps |
Premium | Access to the complete API suite. Details | 50 rps / 1000 rpm |
Business | Access to all APIs. Details | 100 rps / 1500 rpm |
Enterprise | Customized API access tailored to business needs. | Custom |
- rps = Requests per second
- rpm = Requests per minute
Per API Rate Limit
For most APIs within RaidenX Data Services, high rate limits are in place, allowing clients to make requests up to the maximum allowed by their account tier. However, certain resource-intensive APIs operate under stricter rate limits.
Managing Rate Limits
To maintain optimal performance and avoid exceeding your rate limits, follow these best practices:
-
Monitor Usage: Regularly track your API consumption to ensure you stay within your allocated rate limits. Utilize monitoring tools or dashboards to analyze usage patterns and detect potential issues.
-
Prioritize Requests: Optimize your API calls by prioritizing essential requests. Efficient resource allocation ensures that critical operations remain unaffected by rate limits.
-
Implement Backoff Strategies: Use backoff mechanisms to handle rate limit errors smoothly. Strategies such as exponential backoff or retry-after delays can help manage failed requests and reduce excessive retries.
-
Upgrade Your Plan: If you frequently reach the rate limit of your current package, consider upgrading to a higher-tier plan with increased limits to support your growing needs.
By proactively managing rate limits within RaidenX Data Services, you can optimize API usage and unlock the full potential of our data-driven solutions.
